Job Title: Medical Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Medical Assemblers. You will start in the coiling department within a cleanroom environment, where you will be responsible for assembling and inspecting medical components. This role requires precision and attention to detail as you will be working with small parts and using various tools and microscopes.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil winding machines to wrap coils around a spindle for medical assembly processes.
• Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes for 30-50% of the day.
• Work in various assembly areas such as molding, CEA assembly, laser welding, and implantable housings.
• Perform inspection, deburring, and assembly tasks using small hand tools and microscopes.
• Follow written work instructions and maintain high attention to detail in all processes.
• Sit or stand for 8 hours depending on the specific task requirements.

Essential Skills

• 4-6+ months of medical manufacturing or small part experience.
• 4-6+ months of experience using microscopes.
• Experience in cleanroom environments.
• Proficiency in assembly tasks involving catheter, laser welding, and coil winding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical inclination, especially for tasks in the housings area.
• Good hand dexterity, particularly beneficial for tasks similar to sewing.
• Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained in various assembly processes.
• Comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment

You will work in a very clean and well-maintained facility, with positions available in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. The cleanroom requires gowning up, including wearing a smock, booties, hair net, beard net (if applicable), and eye protection. The non-cleanroom area requires eye protection and may have a louder environment with a slight oil smell. The facility also includes an employee wellness plan, a break room with a ping pong table, and a workout facility. Skirts are allowed as long as no skin is exposed, and hijabs are permissible if they meet safety requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.
