Are you passionate about crafting outstanding dining experiences? We're looking for a dedicated, hands-on  Chef to join our vibrant team in Kalamazoo, MI. This is a versatile opportunity to bring your culinary skills to a company that values innovation, teamwork, and detailed execution.

Responsibilities"

• Ensure client and customer happiness by delivering exceptional culinary resources.
• Assist in menu planning, purchasing, and maintaining food quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and/or Chef Manager to develop new menus and recipes.
• Complete and implement catering events to ensure high standards.
• Roll out innovative culinary programs in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.
• Assist in managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to give to the overall success of the department.

Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of culinary management experience in various food service operations such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and more.
• Hands-On Chef Experience required.
• Catering Experience preferred, especially in high-volume and complex operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel.
• An Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Culinary Arts is preferred.
