About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to oversee and manage its information technology (IT) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, installation, security, and maintenance of all IT operations. This includes determining information services requirements, establishing priorities for systems development, and evaluating hardware and software needs. The CIO will also be tasked with protecting the system from viruses and cyber-attacks, as well as managing the budget and staff for the IT department. A key aspect of the role is the ability to lead and manage a team, as well as to plan, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale networks. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a computer science field, with a preference for a degree, and at least 4 years of experience in an IT environment, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Expertise in designing and building broadband networks, including fiber installation and cell tower setup, is essential. The role also requires experience in grant management, knowledge of wireless wide area networks, and the ability to manage IT teams and staff development. The CIO will be expected to work closely with the Administrator, mentor and coach subordinates, and ensure the department is equipped to meet the organization's technology needs.
