CNC Mill Set Up Machinist Position Summary:

Are you a skilled CNC Mill Set Up Machinist looking for a challenging opportunity to put your expertise to work on advanced machinery? Our team requires a Machinist who can handle complex projects using Haas vertical/5 axis and DMG Mori horizontal machines. Join us in producing high-quality, intricate parts made from aluminum, plastic, and steel, showcasing your precision and skill in a diverse range of projects.

CNC Mill Set Up Machinist Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal and Vertical, specifically Haas UMC 750 5axis and Mori DMG Horizontal.
• Perform MDI (Manual Data Input) programming for efficient part production.
• Conduct manual inspection using gauges and instruments to ensure part quality before submitting to the Quality Department for CMM inspection.
• Understand GD&T and interpret complex 2-D drawings.
• Monitor and inspect parts throughout the machining process.
• Follow company quality and safety procedures.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing events to improve processes.

CNC Mill Set Up Machinist Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must have 5 years of CNC Mills machine set-up experience
• Must have Aerospace experience
• 5axis set-up experience is preferred
• Familiarity with Haas and or Mori DMG Machines.
• Experience working with various materials, such as aluminum, plastic, and steel
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with manual inspection using gauges and instruments in support of CMM inspection by the Quality Department
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail is a must
• Must be able stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Capable of handling sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
