Pay Grade: 17

Reports To: VP, Marketing

Salary: $100,000-125,000/yr.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced leader to join our in office creative team. As the Creative Design Director , you will play a pivotal role in shaping our visual identity and design strategy. You will lead a team of designers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling and impactful design solutions that resonate with our target audience. Your creativity, leadership, and design expertise will be instrumental in elevating our brand and ensuring consistency across all design projects.

Reporting directly to the VP of Creative Marketing, the Creative Director will be responsible for shaping our brand's visual identity and design strategy. This leadership role will involve overseeing a team of designers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create compelling and innovative design solutions. The position will be instrumental in designing and producing original, innovative materials that encompass brochures, advertisements, newsletters, logos, menus, guides, store signage, labels, custom presentations, and special projects. This role also involves crafting materials for proposals, promotions, manager's guides, floor plans, openings, refreshes, custom layouts, and full custom projects. This is an onsite position which is located at our Charlotte headquarters 3-5 days/week, depending on business need.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative concepts, brands, and promotions, including logos, names, and associated taglines.
  • Edit and manipulate video content to create internal training guides and external sales videos.
  • Lead the graphic design team from initial concept to final implementation in the field.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to create collateral, promotional, and advertising pieces.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to contribute to larger design projects or manage smaller portions of significant projects.
  • Communicate and collaborate with field teams to understand project requirements and translate ideas into effective designs.
  • Conceptualize and design visual materials that align with the business's needs.
  • Troubleshoot document and image issues, sharing best practices with the team.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Stay updated on the latest creative trends and design practices to deliver cutting-edge imagery that sets us apart from the competition.
  • Uphold and reinforce Eurest brand standards and identity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working within a design firm or creative team environment as a Graphic Designer.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree required.
  • Experience managing a team of designers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Expertise in the Macintosh OSX environment, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator), and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Photography and video experience is a plus.
  • Composure and self-confidence in handling challenging situations.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with a diverse range of design capabilities, including print, packaging, branding, typography, catalog design, and retail graphics.
  • Ability to manage time, workflow, and schedules to meet strict deadlines with consistent quality performance.
  • Quick and efficient worker with a passion for design and attention to detail.
  • Open to design critique and able to articulate specific design strengths.
  • Problem-solving skills to find multiple design solutions, especially within budget constraints.
  • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills for working with the graphic design and marketing team.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and a team player.
  • Web design experience and/or digital video editing experience is a plus.
  • Project management experience is advantageous
