Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace. Cyber Security Engineer The Cyber Security Engineer position involves leading multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture. Responsibilities Lead multi-disciplined teams in the design and implementation of the cyber security system architecture. Produce cyber security architectural artifacts. Provide architectural analysis of cyber security features and existing systems related to future needs and trends. Reviews and provides input to system requirements based on cyber security posture. Compiles industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs. Supports the Engineering Review Board by evaluating artifacts for architectural compliance. Provides broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and applies the experience to specific cyber security initiatives relating to architectural design and development. Resolves architecture implementation issues during integration and testing. Advise and assist team members in deploying and configuring collection services and tools. Work with team members to move data to the appropriate data stores. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience OR 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree in the following: Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.) Experience with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.) Experience with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) CompTIA Security+ or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification required prior to hire. Active TS/SCI clearance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting. Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals. Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications. Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues. Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor. Previous customer service experience strongly desired. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
