Job Description
SUMMARY
The Summer Intern will be a highly motivated individual that is responsible for assisting department heads on special projects and other assigned tasks. The internship will be a temporary position not expected to exceed 10-week term. Responsibilities will include formulating a special report at the end of the term to showcase research results and company recommendations.
DUTIES
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Assist in developing data models and dashboards to support business decision-making.
Create and maintain reports using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
Present findings in clear and concise formats for non-technical audiences.
Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed by the data team.
Participate in meetings and collaborate with other departments to understand business needs.
Troubleshoot end user issues related to reporting and/or other IT tickets.
REQUIRED SKILLS Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Attention to detail and a passion for working with data.
PREFERRED SKILLS Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages.
Experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, and/or Power Query.
Previous internship or project experience related to data analysis.
