Job Description
Responsibilities: Loan Application Review: Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness. Ensure that all required documents and information are collected and meet underwriting guidelines.
Documentation Management: Collect, organize, and maintain all necessary documentation for loan processing, including income verification, credit reports, appraisals, and title reports. Ensure all documents are complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other parties involved in the loan process. Provide regular updates on the status of loan applications and address any questions or concerns.
Verification: Conduct thorough verification of borrower information, including employment, income, and assets. Follow up with borrowers and third parties to obtain additional documentation as needed.
Compliance: Ensure all loan files comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Stay informed about changes in mortgage regulations and industry best practices.
Coordination: Coordinate the loan closing process, including scheduling closing dates, preparing closing documents, and working with title companies and attorneys. Ensure that all conditions and contingencies are met prior to closing.
Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the loan process.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of loan processing activities. Generate reports on loan status, processing times, and other key metrics for management review.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to borrowers throughout the loan process. Assist with any issues or concerns and ensure a positive borrowing experience.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in loan processing.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree.
Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with mortgage loan processing software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations and compliance requirements.
Mortgage Loan Processor certification is a plus.
$50,000 - $55,000 a year
