Job Description

Fred F. Collis & Sons has been providing heating, cooling and air quality solutions to the greater Mohawk Valley area for over 87 years! We continually strive to supply our customers with superior service and quality installations. We are ever-growing and currently looking to expand our team of customer focused installers.

Job Overview:

Responsible for the installation of heating and cooling systems (Furnaces, Boilers, Heat Pumps, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, etc.) in accordance with company standards while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as well as related accessories deemed necessary by company, safety, and manufacturer's specifications
Ensure complete protection of customer's property during installation or service of product
Remove old equipment from customer's home and clean up all areas utilized
Foster good customer relations by explaining the work performed, providing technical support and making sure they are happy with the job that has been done
Perform other duties as required to enhance departmental productivity

Requirements

2-4 years HVAC industry experience minimum
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and how to install them
Solid experience with hand and power tools, as well as an overall mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and understand wiring diagram and system literature
Capable of lifting or carrying up to 75 lbs
Must be able to work well independently and in a team
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in speech and writing, with customers, staff, managers, supervisors, contractors and clients
Valid driver's license required

Pay is dependent on experience and starting rate ranges from $20-$30/hour for this position.
