Junior Auditor - CPA Firm
We are a small, dynamic CPA firm located in the Bronx, New York, with a dedicated and skilled team. We are currently looking for a Junior Auditor with 2-5 years of audit experience in a CPA firm setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working on audits, reviews, and/or compilations and be familiar with engagement software such as CaseWare or PPC SMART Practice Aids (or similar). Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute audits and other assurance engagements from start to finish, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
- Prepare planning documents and conduct risk assessments for assigned clients.
- Perform internal control testing procedures to assess operational efficiency and compliance.
- Obtain, review, and document audit evidence to ensure conclusions are well-supported.
- Identify issues during the audit process and clearly communicate findings, along with recommended solutions.
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and any supplementary information required.
- Effectively communicate tasks to the engagement team to ensure high-quality, accurate, and efficient results.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities, including formal training and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs.
Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- A current CPA license is preferred, but not required.
- At least 2 years of auditing experience within an accounting firm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Pivot Tables is essential.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends during the busy tax season (January through April).

Work Environment:

- Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm (with occasional weekend hours during busy seasons).

- Bachelor's degree (Required)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of auditing experience (Required)
License/Certification:
