Legal Operations Lead who is
strategic, collaborative, and
tech-savvy to join our
Legal Operations team, based preferably in our
headquarters office in
Atlanta, United States. About the role The Legal Operations Lead is responsible for steering, leading and implementing various projects and initiatives aiming at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ethics & Legal Affairs department. The Legal Operations Lead oversees various existing processes and acts as a liaison with the Ethics & Legal Affairs team and other departments, ensuring that the legal department aligns with the broader organizational goals.
Who you'll work with You will join a team of 5 colleagues. You will collaborate closely with the Ethics & Legal Affairs team, Finance, Talent, and other departments across the organization. This role acts as a key liaison, facilitating communication and strategic initiatives to optimize departmental performance.
What you'll do - Contribute to developing and implementing strategic plan for the function.
- Legal Technology: Implement and/or manage legal technology solutions, to streamline operations and enhance efficiency e.g. e-billing, knowledge management system, etc.
- Team engagement: Manage department's communication strategy, both within department (newsletter, department meetings, etc.) and across UCB, leveraging team insights into actionable plans and acting as a promoter for company-wide initiatives.
- Vendor management: Coordinate with external counsel and service providers, managing relationships and to optimize service quality.
- Collaboration: Design, implement and oversee strategic initiatives and processes that can facilitate and strengthen cross-functional collaboration within the Ethics & Legal Affairs department.
- Design and manage the legal department's training plan, including leading development of specific training modules for our team or from our team for internal partners.
- Budget: Partner with Ethics & Legal Affairs leadership and Finance to develop and manage the Team's annual operating plan and budget.
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills - 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, project management and/or legal.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic and critical thinker with a holistic and data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong interest and proficiency in technology and digital tools. Having experience implementing a new digital tool is an asset.
- Certification in Project Management is a plus.
