We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Manual Testing and experience in ADA compliance to join our dynamic team within the banking sector. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications that adhere to the regulations and best practices of accessibility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in banking systems and processes, along with comprehensive knowledge of manual testing methodologies. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scenarios, focusing on delivering a product that is both functional and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Perform manual testing of banking applications, ensuring proper functionality, performance, and compliance with ADA standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues reported.
  • Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with ADA standards, identifying and documenting areas for improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and quality assurance best practices.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance quality assurance efforts within the organization.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual testing, specifically within the banking industry.
  • Demonstrable experience with accessibility standards, specifically ADA compliance testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate testing progress and outcomes clearly.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks that support manual testing and defect tracking.
