True Title: Senior Refractory Engineer (Refractory experience not required)
Location: Northampton, PA (Hybrid - Work from Home 1 Day per Week)

Company Overview:
A growing industry leader in refractory services is seeking a Senior Refractory Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and expanding company that provides innovative solutions in refractory applications. The role is hybrid, allowing at least one day of remote work per week, and requires travel for client engagements.

Position Summary:
As a Senior Refractory Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing refractory applications, developing tailored solutions, and providing technical expertise to customers. This position requires client interaction and onsite project involvement, but it is not a sales role. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and project managers to assess applications, estimate projects, and drive solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer site assessments to analyze and recommend refractory solutions.
  • Develop project estimates, proposals, and application strategies to meet client needs.
  • Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and problem-solving for refractory applications and materials.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to enhance customer support and service offerings.
  • Travel to client sites as needed to provide hands-on support and consultation.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering (Ceramic, Materials Science, or Mechanical preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in the refractory or cement industry.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 + 10% bonus 
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Hybrid work environment (at least 1 day remote per week).
