A 9-5pm office job involving interaction with patients (Monday to Friday)

The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of essential duties in an office setting, primarily related to support and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical terminology and working in a medical office. The right candidate will enjoy fast-paced work environments and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Answer telephone messages.
• Provide a wide range of clerical support to medical office staff and physicians.
• Solve problems, troubleshoot, and make decisions on the spot.
• Keep accurate records of patient appointments and other relevant information.
• Organize paperwork; Transcribe reports of physical examinations and medical histories.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Prepare medical reports.
• Take patients' questions about their health and treatment concerns.
• Assist the physician with office procedures.
• Book surgeries and hospital outpatient procedures.
• Ability to scan and fax documents
• Keep the office clean and tidy daily

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

General maintenance and organization of the office to function efficiently, reliably, compassionately and safely in a tidy environment,.

Usually but not always 12 noon to 1pm break.

The assistant would chaperone and assist the Doctor when conducting pelvic examinations and procedures.

It's a medical office consisting of 2 examining rooms , front desk areas and personal office.
It's a woman health service (obstetrics and gynaecology). It's also a surgical specialty.
