Job Description

The Tech is responsible for helping the Tech2 setting up equipment and performing tests on piping welds to ensure they meet the quality standards to be used in our production process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Loading film
• Place barricade and signs
• Running film with an automatic processor
• Helping in any capacity that tech2 may need
• Report on safety issues
• Completing reports on a computer for tech2
• Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company’s safety culture
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Possess a Driver’s License
• Industrial Radiographer Card for State of Texas or Louisiana
• QC experience preferred
• Entry level

SKILLS / KEY COMPETENCIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information
• Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
• Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments – results oriented
• Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines
• Ability to work non-routine hours, when necessary
• Ability and willingness to travel as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
• Ability to operate job related tools
• Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
• Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help
• Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
