CFS has partnered with a client in Stamford, CT to help find an experience Accounting Specialist/Office Manager to join their team. This person will process and general financial data, management administrative functions, as well as some accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Hires, trains, and supervises office personnel.
• Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.
• Posts sales transactions to accounting records & CRM daily.
• Receives & processes incoming wires & EFTs for deal funding.
• Reconciles select accounts monthly.
• Manage petty cash distribution & reconciliation.
• Assists in completion of annual review/audits.
• Issues & sends payoff checks to bank for titles.
• Reconciles office records with those of the sales department.
• Manages, calculates & submits weekly sales commission payments based on final documentation for payroll.
• Addressing all funding issues, escalating as needed in timely manner.
• Submit & verify rebates for new vehicle deliveries.
• Submit monthly state sales tax for CT, NY, & NJ.
• Monitor other office functions and escalates any issues.
• Manages office time off and training/coverage.
• Post reconciliations & accounting entries in CDK.
• Reconciles various accounting reports as needed.
• Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by Controller and/or Dealer Principal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Some college is preferred.
• 1-3+ years of related experience in an accounting or office management role.
