Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Part-Time Procurement Mentor to join our team in a remote position , with experience to develop and guide our procurement and contracts (acquisition) strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring our team, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, and providing policy guidance. You will offer expertise in negotiation tactics, contract terms, and modifications to support our procurement operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement and contracts (acquisition) strategy.
  • Train and mentor the team, focusing on skill development and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide policy guidance on procurement and contract management processes.
  • Advise on negotiation strategies, contract terms, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with procurement objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate procurement performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal procurement regulations and policies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and strategies.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as necessary.

Ideal Profile

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, contracts management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
