Texas College’s Office of Public Relations is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), the Administrative Assistant will assist and support the CMCO with administrative and office functions to ensure and maximize the office’s efficiency and effectiveness. These functions may include, but are not limited to, general administrative/secretarial duties, managing phone calls and email responses, arranging meetings, maintaining and coordinating annual calendars and weekly/monthly schedules, developing reports, producing accurate meeting minutes, organizing and filing documents (physical and digital), updating documents, maintaining departmental equipment, software, and subscriptions, completing necessary paperwork and/or documentation, coordinating and communicating with other departments to facilitate and progress projects, attend meetings, activities, and events as required, as well as other duties as assigned. The optimal candidate will have a comprehensive familiarity and grasp of technology, as well as a proficient functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. The position requires an individual that is intrinsically motivated, innovative, collaborative, and possesses strong organization skills, strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, maintains the highest of professional standards, and respects confidentiality.
