Position SAS has an opening for a Part-Time
Real Estate & Repairs Support Specialist - Paralegal who will directly report to the Head of Retail and provide support to the Store Development team and to the SAS Senior Leadership Team, primarily splitting daily duties between Legal and Store Development.
Responsibilities - Prepare abstract of leases and maintain lease databases.
- Assist in sending and follow-up of offers to lease & lease amendments.
- Opening Lease files, saving, scanning after they are duly executed and making sure the leasing checklist is completed in its entirety.
- Preparation, sending and follow-up of annual renewal letters.
- Coordination with property manager move-ins /move-outs.
- Keeping track of all relevant notices, dates for step-ups, renewals, extensions, terminations and updating memos accordingly.
- Responsible for tracking key lease and real estate contract dates and ensuring deadlines and/or commitments are met.
- Keeping track and updating schedules of all lease clauses including but not limited to: insurance certificates, HVAC service contracts, extermination service contracts Create, maintain and organize electronic copies and physical lease files.
- Work directly with real estate Manager/Broker to facilitate execution of lease documents, and have a thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the SAS Real Estate Manager/Broker and work directly with commercial landlords and property managers to resolve issues, as needed.
- Process legal documents under the supervision of SAS Corporate Counsel in a timely fashion and communicate with all parties involved.
- Work with Store Development on stores, repairs, and remodels
- Maintain logs and track progress for Store Development
- Communicate effectively with stores and vendors on outstanding issues
- Process, file, and maintain non-disclosure agreements.
- Create and maintain notice, termination, and expiration schedules for various vendor contracts.
- Provide notary services, as needed, prepare, and send certified U.S. Mail.
- Perform additional duties and projects, as required, or assigned for the efficient and timely flow of work and information and the implementation of new procedures and projects.
- Perform heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external partners.

- Possess the ability to include appropriate people in various company processes/events, with a good grasp of respective scopes of involvement of personnel and SAS departments.
- Able to understand and take instruction and responding to management at their direction.
- Have the ability to work independently with solid follow-up and follow-through.
- Be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and demands while maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
- Have excellent job performance and attendance
- Be able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and, solid administrative and organizational skills.
Required - Two to four years' experience as an Administrative Assistant to senior leadership teams.
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, and other company internal and external systems as well as familiarity with company website.
Preferred - Some college coursework.
- Experience writing and editing legal contracts.
- Paralegal certification or training.
- Fluency in Spanish with the ability to communicate clearly.
Physical Requirements - Ability to work in a stationary position.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for at least 8 hours a day.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer, visual inspection, and prepare and analyze projects.
- Consistently be able to operate a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs occasionally.
