At Oakdale Irrigation District (OID), we are dedicated to protecting and enhancing water resources to support our region. Serving over 80,000 acres of prime agricultural land, we provide essential irrigation and domestic water services to Stanislaus County.

We are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team.

Position Details:

• Status: Full-Time, Exempt


• Salary: $51.43 - $62.51/hour + Comprehensive Benefits 


• Supervised By: General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the District’s safety and environmental compliance programs. Key areas include occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, fire prevention, and hazardous materials management.


• Provide training, monitor regulatory changes, conduct technical research and analysis, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.


• Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies, the public, and internal departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational safety, biological science, chemistry, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of relevant safety-related experience may be substituted for one (1) year of required education.


• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental compliance or regulatory management.
