Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Department Lead (Licensed P.E.) – Ft. Lauderdale, FL

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (Licensed P.E.) to lead our Electrical Engineering Department in our Ft. Lauderdale office. This is a senior-level leadership position requiring deep expertise in electrical systems engineering for residential and commercial construction projects , including high-rise buildings.

The successful candidate must have:

• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design and project management for commercial and residential buildings, with a focus on large-scale and high-rise projects
• A strong background in construction-related electrical engineering , including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
• Leadership and management experience , with the ability to mentor staff and oversee electrical engineering operations
• Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with clients and collaborate across teams
• Bilingual Spanish skills (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion
• Provide technical leadership and quality control for electrical designs
• Directly supervise and mentor junior electrical engineers and designers
• Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical engineering within the firm
• Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
• Drive innovation and efficiency in our electrical engineering department
