Job Title: Senior Estimator – Public & Private Works

Location: Livermore, CA (Client's Office)

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator with a proven track record of success in estimating for public and private works projects , specifically in water, sewer, storm drain, and underground construction . The ideal candidate will bring 10 to 20+ years of estimating experience , with deep familiarity with HCSS estimating software, and a strong background working for a contractor .

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for water, sewer, storm drain, and underground construction projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and field teams to assess and refine cost estimates.
• Utilize HCSS estimating software for bid preparation and cost analysis.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure thorough and accurate estimates.
• Manage the estimation process for both public and private works projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Perform risk analysis and value engineering to optimize cost efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 to 20+ years of estimating experience in water, sewer, storm drain , and underground construction .
• Extensive experience using HCSS estimating software .
• Prior experience working with a contractor .
• Strong understanding of public works regulations and requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals and deadlines.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
