The Surgery Scheduler is primarily responsible for accurately and efficiently entering surgery patients into the practice management system. They are the liaison between the Physician's office and the Surgery Center.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule surgery patient appointments/demographics accurately and efficiently
• Schedules surgical procedures on a daily basis
• Verification of patient insurance benefits
• Interact with the patient regarding their patient responsibility
• Work closely with the physicians to ensure smooth patient flow and optimize appointment block time and scheduling
• Interact with Physician's offices to obtain patient information, to include patient demographic, insurance information and authorizations for surgeries

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Medical or surgical scheduling (preferred)
• Medical Terminology and understanding of medical records
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to multi-task is essential

Education: High School or equivalent is required.

Experience:

• Scheduling preferred/ Medical office experience: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Jacksonville, FL 32256: Relocate before starting work (Required)
