Summary

Brooker Memorial Early Learning and Child Care Center is seeking a responsible, nurturing Early Childhood Teacher to join our Toddler Program. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a team environment and are passionate about working with children.

Duties

1.Provide a safe, nurturing and age appropriate learning environment both indoors and out.
2.Promote healthy practices through curriculum, routines, materials, modeling, and maintaining a clean, organized classroom.
3.Maintain adult to child ratios at all times and supervise children by sight and sound at all times.
4.Communicate regularly with parents both in writing and verbally. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with each child?s family.
5.Provide an environment that encourages pro-social learning, problem solving skills, and guides children?s behavior through the use of consistent routines and schedules, appropriate expectations, clearly and simply stated rules, appropriate room set up, and intentionally selected materials. 
6.Plan for and offer a developmentally appropriate program that supports learning across all domains

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years experience working in a child care center is required. Associate's in Early Childhood or related preferred, but will consider CDA level as well. Pay range is dependent upon years of experience and level of education.
Applicant must:

1. Be 18 years of age or older.

2. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis, stand most of the day, bend, stoop, sit on the floor, and have the agility to move from a seated position to a standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations.

3. Must be able to perform activities with children, i.e. dance, walk, run, etc. both indoors and out. Will be required to be outdoors for regular periods of time in all 4 seasons.

4. Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities to supervise the children by sight and sound
