Trauma-Informed Art Therapist

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Art Therapy.
• Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) required within two years of appointment.
• Limited permit as an Art Therapist required at the time of appointment.

Duties:

• Facilitates trauma-focused art therapy sessions for patients with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.
• Works with patients to process difficult experiences through creative expression.
• Assesses patient emotional responses and adjusts therapy methods accordingly.
• Collaborates with mental health teams to support patient recovery.
• Provides therapeutic de-escalation strategies for patients in crisis.
• Documents patient progress and reports findings to treatment teams.
