Job Description

This healthcare position involves administrative and clinical duties under supervision, including answering phones, scheduling, data entry, measuring vital signs, collecting patient information, preparing patients, cleaning rooms, and stocking supplies.

• Depending on training and location, responsibilities may include drawing blood, performing waived testing, and administering medications.
  
  
• Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a formal MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, and clinical externship. No prior experience required; healthcare or ambulatory clinic experience preferred.
  
  
• Skills needed are excellent communication, ability to work independently and in teams, proficiency with computers, and carrying out delegated tasks.
  
  
• Certifications required are current BLS from AHA (or obtained within 90 days) and a recognized medical assistant certification from approved programs.
