Mead Lumber Company is a leading provider of products to professional contractors, construction builders and remodelers. We have 53 operating locations across 9 Midwestern states.
100% employee-owned , we are the 11th largest building material suppliers to professional builders in the country. We are in search of driven individuals who desire an opportunity to grow.
Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.
Responsibilities & Duties: - Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
- Load and unload trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
- Delivers and unloads materials to customer's satisfaction and on a timely basis.
- Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
- Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
- Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.
- Stock products and keep shelving tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a good driving record.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Be self-motivated and productive.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds.
