Job Description:

As a Freelance Contract Attorney, you will provide expert legal counsel and services focused on contract law for our diverse clientele. Your role will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as offering strategic advice to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality legal solutions tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including business agreements, vendor contracts, and employment contracts.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and third parties to secure favorable conditions and resolve disputes.
- Provide expert legal advice on contract-related matters, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Identify and assess potential legal risks associated with contract terms and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal documents and communications.

Job Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in New York State.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in contract law, with a proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
- Expertise in contract law and related legal issues.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and contract management software.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and client-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with clients in various industries.
- Previous freelance or contract-based legal work experience.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
